About The Event
You'll learn effective techniques to relieve pain and tension in the back and hips caused by our modern, often stressful lifestyles. You take home a short sequence to use on family & friends or integrate into an existing practice. Self-care practice is also included, so that both giving and receiving can feel equally beneficial.
You are fully clothed and we work through the clothing to make the massage techniques as versatile as possible, using a supportive mat on the floor.
The workshop is for everyone who’s interested in giving and receiving massage and gaining confidence in giving mindful touch. No experience of massage is necessary - the only pre-requisite is that you are able to kneel on a mat on the floor.
This workshop is of special interest to yoga teachers, bodyworkers from other disciplines, counsellors & psychotherapists, dancers and those with a background in martial arts or physical theatre.
